Is there such a thing as a size zero? Yes there is, and many women strive to get into it. Whatever happened to the magic size 8? We don’t really know, but what we do know is, it’s not ‘Hollywood’ anymore. Today we’re going to unveil some of the celebrities you’d think was size zero but really size 6 – or more, and ones who claim they’re happy with their ‘plus’ size but actually slim down quietly. Don’t you love how confusing Hollywood is? We do!
This is one celebrity who never denies her size 14-16 measurement. She even said to Anderson Cooper once,
“I’d rather have lunch with my friends than go to a gym. I don’t want to be some skinny Minnie with my tits out. I don’t want people confusing what it is that I’m about.”
However, the now mother of one has been seen slimming down in recent years. Could she be looking to be a zero? Or a 6?
Although she’s never been a size zero, do you seriously think Halle Berry has always been a size 4? Things change when you have kids, and celebrities are no exception. Before giving birth to her daughter Nahla, she wore size 27 in jeans, and expanded into size 31 a little while after she gave birth. However, Berry shrunk back to her pre-baby size soon after.
This is hard to believe, but do you think a superstar like Rihanna would even claim that she’s a size zero when she’s not? Apparently she did, because back in June she said she didn’t like her size zero butt,
“I’m a size 0 — and not happy about it! I went way too far. I prefer myself a bit chunkier. I want my old butt back!”.
The internet buzzed in response to Rihanna’s statement, and she was instantly compared with Victoria Beckham, who indeed is a size zero. Rihanna didn’t comment on the uproar, but she’s now looking healthy and happy in those size 6 getups thanks to her rekindled romance with Chris Brown.
Kim Kardashian is the one celebrity who’s always trying to squeeze into size 2 dresses, while she’s actually a size 4. At 125 pounds and 5’2.5” or 57 kg at 159 cm., Kim is actually on the smaller size of the bunch. Back in 2011 when she was about to marry Kris Humphries, she worked hard to fit into a size 2 dress. Now that she claims to be a size 2, will she try to fit into a size zero dress if Kanye West proposes?
Nick Cannon must have loved Mariah’s curves before she had their twins, however he must love her more after she gave birth because the singer publicly announced that she lost 70 pounds after the birth of Dem Babies. As a Jenny Craig spokesperson, her weight loss was expected, and now she’s back into her old size-4 self. Our question is: was she ever really size 4 or was she an actual size 6 pre-babies?
Now here’s one celebrity who said she’ll never be a size zero. But was she ever shy to reveal her true size? Nope, Jennifer Lopez said:
“I could never be a size zero. I just don’t see how I could get down to that size and still be healthy.”
A proud size 6 for the last decade, she thanked her strict exercise regimen and her self-control when it comes to food. But she doesn’t deny moments of weakness, as she once said to Vogue:
“I’m just a regular woman. I wear a size 6. You know, when I eat a little too much over the holidays, maybe a size 8. When I’m in shape, maybe a size 4.”
Whose measurements is way over size 10 and still manages designers to rush and make her dresses? Aside from Adele, we have to put Christina Hendricks on the list. The Mad Men actress said she used to be so much heavier – without saying how much, of course, and now at size 14, she’s as happy as can be. Who wouldn’t be? Zac Posen made her a dress and it looked fab on her! We’re not even curious what size she is anymore because she’s gorgeous!
We always thought she’s a skinny size zero. And she never corrected the presses, until one day when her unflattering photo in a bikini surfaced and she immediately shut the public’s thought of her being a size zero. Jennifer said,
“Like all women out there should, I love my body … A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn’t make you beautiful. … To all girls with butts, boobs, hips and a waist, put on a bikini – put it on and stay strong.”
Having been a model since she was only 14, Liv Tyler is no stranger to diets and watching her figure. However, she thinks sample sizes are getting smaller and unhealthy. A size 4 now (or 6 then), she said,
“I definitely think the girls look too skinny now. I’m friends with Helena Christensen and Linda Evangelista, and I remember Linda telling me that when she was a model [in the ’90s], a sample size was a 6 or an 8. Now a sample dress size is a 0 or a 2. That’s pretty alarming. There’s a lot of pressure on [the models]. It’s not healthy. I can’t even imagine what that’s like.”
The comedy actress has struggled with weight issues for a long time, and apparently she’s still in delusion. Kirstie Alley still claimed that she was a size 8 back in 2011, while pictures of her showed that she was at least size 12. We won’t say much, let her picture do the talking. Do you agree with her?
