Jessica Simpson Goes Fancy

We gotta say that liking Jessica Simpson is a guilty pleasure.  You know everybody hates her, but sometimes you tape her old video clips on TiVo, and watch it when nobody’s around.  We kinda feel the same way about her and her clothing line. Afterall, she is a celebrity designer, and not just lending her name to random products (okay, we know the beer deal wasn’t that great).

Jessica Simpson’s designs are so good that sometimes some of us here at CelebrityClothingLine log into Zappos and orders some of her fabulous shoes and handbags, while praying that nobody would peer from behind our backs.

But today we’re nothing but all over her new perfume: Fancy.

Fancy has fruity top notes of apricot nectar, sparkling pear and the heart consists of gardenia, jasmine and toasted almond, while the lasting scent is sandalwood and amber.

Testers (read: some of us) say that Fancy is quite long-lasting and meant for sophisticated young women instead of the teenage kind.  While Jess said, “I wanted to create a pretty fragrance, one that I could be just as comfortable wearing on the red carpet or every day with my favorite jeans.  This is a special fragrance – personal, whimsical, playful and romantic.”

Fancy is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum $49 and $59, respectively. And also a matching body lotion, 177 ml for $30.

So, is it playful?  Is it sophisticated?  You decide.

While we’re talking about Jessica Simpson, may we suggest our other guilty pleasure from her shoe line?  Here it is.

It’s the sexy Helga High Heels.  Loves it!

  1. I wish I had the talent to produce a good poster for the simpsons 20th anniversary contest. I love the simpsons. But at least there are others (as I see here) that share an interest still.
