In addition to being one of the biggest names in music, it’s no secret that Gwen Stefani has worked hard to cement a place in fashion history, as well. In fact, her high-end L.A.M.B. has been a favorite among the celebrity set for years, and her beauty and fragrance lines sell out before they even hit department store shelves. Her style savvy combined with her reputation as a super hands-on mom to adorable sons Kingston, 5, and Zuma, almost 3, makes her the perfect candidate to design an affordably priced children’s clothing line, and it looks like our wait is finally over.
Gwen has teamed up with family-friendly retailer Target to design a line called Harajuku Mini, a children’s line based off the bright colors and fun anime characters heavily featured in her adult Harajuku Lovers collection.
We’re sure busy moms everywhere are chomping at the bit to get their hands on some of Gwen’s adorable gear, and with prices starting at around $4, we have a feeling families will be stocking up. The entire collection, which encompasses everything from clothing and accessories to backpacks and school supplies for boys and girls, isn’t scheduled to officially launch in-store until November, but savvy shoppers have spotted preview pieces on the Target’s website.
Just in time for back-to-school season, parents can get their kiddos styled to perfection in Harajuku Mini, and follow up with some super stylish holiday gifts, as a second iteration is expected to roll out in the winter. Gwen’s is excited to bring high-style to the toddler set, and says, “Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid’s clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices.”
We don’t have kids yet, but are nonetheless excited to check out these adorable pieces. Do you agree that it was about time for Gwen to produce a child-only line?
