Kanye West Auctions Autographed Sneakers For Hurricane Sandy Relief

Kanye West is gathering good karma! The rapper is auctioning off a pair of his own Nike Air Yeezy II sneakers for charity. The kicks are worn and signed by Kanye himself, so authenticity is guaranteed.

West will donate the proceeds to RE/CREATE New York, which will help with the ongoing Hurrican Sandy relief. Kanye won’t be the only celebrity doing this, as REM singer Michael Stipe is also giving up some collectibles to help out, also DJ/producer Skrillex who puts up his signed leather-sleeved jacket he once wore to the Grammys. Other participating celebs include Kate Moss, Selena Gomez, Kelly Osbourne, and Anne Hathaway.

RE/CREATE stated:

Like many New Yorkers, we were saddened by the devastation of Hurricane Sandy and motivated to help. To assist the ongoing relief and rebuilding efforts we are proud to present this auction of personal, one-of-a-kind items donated by prominent members of our creative community.

Don’t you love it when celebs give back?  We do!

The bidding starts on January 24th.
