Yet Another Celebrity Nail Polish: Salma Hayek Launches Nuance Nail Color


Following the footsteps of the celebrities who launched their nail color lines this season, including Fergie and Snooki, actress Salma Hayek extends her Nuance cosmetic line and included nail polish in it. However, unlike the other stars, Hayek took her daughter, Valentina, as her inspiration. She explained that Valentina loves nail colors, and this inspired her to create a range of nail polish that is safe for children.

She’s obsessed with nails and nail colors. I wanted to get [the formula] so it wasn’t very toxic and so you can put it on your children.

On the expansion, Hayek didn’t hesitate to go big. The nail colors will be available in 30 shades and retailed for $5.99 each. You can expect to see Nuance nail color at CVS and by November 19 and virtually everywhere in the first quarter of 2013, as it’s going to be sold in 1900 retailers. Why not? As Salma said, it’s for everyone.

It’s a lot of hip new colors, some are young and happy and there are also really sophisticated classic ones. It’s a little bit for everyone.
