Michael Jackson’s Clothing Line With Christian Audigier: Unveiled!

Apparently Michael Jackson and Christian Audigier were serious about their clothing line deal.  In his last days, Michael Jackson had approved the upcoming Michael Jackson X Christian Audigier designs and fashion items that includes t-shirts, jackets and… weirdly enough, sequined gloves.  Here’s the video of what you might see in the collection:

Any thoughts?

Tori Spelling’s Little Maven Childrenswear

Baby fever strikes Hollywood, as the teenage stars are already grown up… and almost having their own teenagers.  Ex Beverly Hills 90210 star, Tori Spelling, is embracing motherhood and before her babies grow up so fast, she decided to launch a childrenswear line called “Little Maven” at Bloomingdale’s.  Check out baby Stella in her mom’s design:

No worries about the loud colors because they are intentional.  Tori said that the line’s design would consider bold colors apart from the style and comfort, because children are usually attracted to vivid colors.

The Little Maven clothing line is aimed for girls and boys age 0 up to 4 years, with price tags ranging from $26 up to $88.

Katie Holmes to Launch Clothing Line For Maxfield

After a lot of weird news featuring celebs who are way FAR from the ‘stylish’ word, finally the celebrity clothing line world can breathe again.  One of the most stylish celebrity that kept the paparazzis busy for most of the year 2008, Katie Holmes, has decided to launch her own clothing line that will make its debut this fall in the US.

The mother of Suri Cruise teamed up with her stylist, Jeanne Yang, to create a premium women’s line and childrenswear for Maxfield stores.  It’s only natural for Katie to gather inspirations from her cute daughter, as Suri has been growing up under the watchful eyes of fans… and amazingly never had a fashion mistake.

So yes, we’re curious to see what Katie Holmes will come up with.  Stay tuned for more!

Baby Phat Going Bankrupt?

A shocking news came over’s desk today and it says that Kimora Lee Simmons’ Baby Phat clothing line might have to go under. The Wall Street Journal reports that Baby Phat and Phat Farm’s holding company, Kellwood Co., could be forced to file for bankruptcy:

Kellwood Co., one of the largest apparel manufacturers in the U.S., could be forced to file for bankruptcy soon, after it failed to reach an agreement with its bondholders.

The St. Louis-based company, which employs roughly 2,000 people and owns such popular clothing brands as Phat Farm, Sag Harbor and Vince, was taken private in February 2008 by buyout firm Sun Capital Partners for $542 million.

The twin effects of a heavy debt load and a sharp drop in consumer spending have crushed the company’s financial results.

Kellwood has a $140 million bond issue …

The economy is shattering every business it can get. It’s a good thing Russell Simmons sold Phat Farm and Baby Phat to Kellwood five years ago for $142 million in cash plus performance incentives. However, Kimora Lee stays HBIC at Baby Phat and everyone is wondering how this bankruptcy thing is going to affect her and her clothing line.

We’ll be staying in tune for more.

Jon Gosselin To Design For Ed Hardy

Apparently Jon Gosselin has something up his Ed Hardy sleeves post break-up with mother of his 8 kids, Kate Gosselin.  The “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ reality show star was caught chatting it up with designer Christian Audigier recently.  Apparently, Audigier hired Gosselin to design a children’s clothing line and it’s all happening on board of Audigier’s yacht.

Gosselin has been a die-hard fan of Audigier’s Ed Hardy tees and was seen a couple of times last week sporting Ed Hardy t-shirts.  Although there’s no further words about this upcoming children’s line, as reported by E! Online, the Jon Gosselin-Christian Audigier Ed Hardy clothing line for kids will be available in stores across the US at the end of August, 2009.

Good luck there, Jon.  You’re probably gonna need it.

Avril Lavigne To Launch Children’s Line

The last time we all heard from Avril Lavigne was when she announced about her upcoming Black Star fragrance a few months ago, after getting busy with her tweens’ clothing line: Abbey Dawn.  But Avril is taking things one step at a time.  This time, she announced that she’s also about to launch a children’s line -and by that we mean for girls younger than tweens under the Abbey Dawn label.

As reported by, the clothing line will feature a cuddlier version of Ms. Lavigne’s rock and roll attitude, consisting of layered tees with “friendly skull graphics” (err… okay) and comfortable leggings.  Word is, there’s gonna be cute zebra hoodies with ears to add the ‘cute’ factor.

We really have no idea where this clothing line will go, but we’ll give this one a chance.  It’s gonna be interesting to see zebra ears and friendly skulls for a change.  The clothing line will be launched two weeks from now, so we’ll keep you updated.

Beyoncé and Tina Knowles Launches Sasha Fierce Junior Clothing Line

While other celebs such as J. Lo are closing down shops everywhere, Beyoncé and Tina Knowles are gearing up to launch their newest collection titled appropriately after Beyonce’s alter ego: Sasha Fierce. The apparel line is dedicated for a younger crowd, and is scheduled to be available in September for back to school.

The collection is inspired by Beyoncé’s stage presence (or in easier term: show costumes), as the singer is on tour until November. The line which includes a full range of sportswear, outerwear, handbags, footwear, eyewear, lingerie and jewelry will be carried by department stores including Macy’s and Dillard’s and specialty stores Jimmy Jazz and Against All Odds. According to Tina Knowles, the collection -compared to the previous Deréon junior label is “edgier and tredier and reflects Sasha Fierce’s daring and outgoing attitude.”

Tina stated that the jewelry, shoes and eyewear are ‘really over the top’ with large mixed-metal chains (gold and silver), studded shoes and oversized sunglasses, imitating the ones worn by Beyoncé all through her tour. As for the clothes, although there’s still leggings -which are so five minutes ago-, there are also a one-shoulder dress, black bodysuit, fake leather jacket with oversize collar and destructed jeans with mesh and lace details lining the ripped material.

Tina Knowles explained:
“When the tour started, we noticed the definite style of it. Thierry Mugler designed the clothes for the tour, but we really wanted to celebrate the style and interpret that into a collection.”

In her statement, Beyoncé said:
“The line really exudes a different side of my personality, which I am grateful that I can express.”

Tina Knowles also explained that Beyonce is majorly involved in the line’s creation, by suggesting stuff she likes and what she doesn’t. She suggested to line the rips of the jeans with the mesh and lace, which made the jeans turned out really different from the rest.

The collection will be available on wholesale from $25 to $75.

J.Lo Says Bye To Her Clothing Line In The U.S.

Sad news for J. Lo fans today as the singer pulls the plug on her contemporary sportswear brand, Sweetface, after six years in business.  WWD reports that the label’s last collection, Spring 2009, is in stores now, but there won’t be any further shipments.

The company stated:

“In light of some new company strategies, we have decided to put the Sweetface line on hiatus while we prepare to reintroduce the brand in the near future with new messaging points and an entirely new fashion point of view,”

There’s no word on when the relaunch will take place. As Sweetface shuts down, the only clothing line remaining for J.Lo in the U.S. are JLO by Jennifer Lopez branded costume jewelry, which you can still find at Macy’s and the brand’s shoe line which is carried by Victoria’s Secret catalogue. If you’re a fan of J.Lo’s fragrances, worry not because the company is doing really well with fragrances and even plans to launch a seventh fragrance later this year.
