Barbadian lady, Rihanna is not only a great singer, but also possesses mastery in fashion designing. Perhaps, American sock brand, Stance, knew about this. So, they appointed the star as a contributing creative director as well as a new brand ambassador! However, this partnership doesn’t come out of the blue since Rihanna has been a fan of the brand for several years. Moreover, the firm adored her with the title Punk and Poet, which is their special way of describing a spokesperson. She said about their relationship,

“I’ve had a great relationship with Stance for a long time and I am happy to be working with them on such a fun and creative project.”

On the other hand, the team at Stance couldn’t be happier to have her on board and are excited to see how she’ll throw some RiRi sparkle onto their offerings. Candy Harris, senior vice president of Stance’s women’s division, said:

“She creatively pushes the boundaries in everything she does. It’s nice to work with out-of-the box ideas for our brand.”

“There are very few women in fashion whose personal style can go from street to couture in a blink. She does it with such credibility and authenticity. It makes her an original.”

Initially, she launched two limited edition designs called Murder Rih Wrote. They had prints which look like a newspaper and vintage movie artwork on them, as well as Rihanna’s ‘Bad Gal’ moniker. Recently, she launched her third collection with Stance which comprised of 19 standout styles. The baby doll–meets-tomboy hosiery collection is right in step with the pop singer’s unconventional approach to fashion. Finally, spent the evening rejoicing the Rihanna video for Stance below!

About Rihanna

Robyn Rihanna Fenty (born February 20, 1988), known professionally as Rihanna (/riˈænə/ ree-AN-ə), is a Barbadian singer, songwriter, actress, and fashion designer. Born in Saint Michael, Barbados, her career began upon meeting record producer Evan Rogers in late 2003 through mutual friends; she recorded demo tapes with his guidance. Her tape was sent to several record labels, and she subsequently signed a contract with Def Jam Recordings after auditioning for its then-president, hip-hop producer and rapper Jay-Z. Both her debut album, Music of the Sun (2005) and its follow-up A Girl Like Me (2006) peaked in the top ten on the US Billboard 200; the former featured the commercially successful song “Pon de Replay” while the latter produced her first Billboard Hot 100 number-one single, “SOS”.
