The superstar Rihanna made a historic collaboration with the legendary footwear designer Manolo Blahnik. Perhaps, 2016 is super exciting because Robyn Rihanna Fenty introduced an awesome collection in the market, namely, Rihanna x Manolo Blahnik. Rihanna spoke about it as
‘I have always loved Manolo Blahniks. Mr. Manolo’s shoes are the most luxurious and timeless shoe there is! His designs make women feel incredible when they wear them, so to be able to collaborate with him and combine our sensibilities has been a dream come true!’- Rihanna.
And, Blahnik enthused about the collaboration, named ‘Denim Desserts’, as
‘This is an incredibly exciting collaboration and I am absolutely thrilled with the results – working with Rihanna has been amazing and her drive, passion, creativity and style have been reflected in the designs, with fabulous results – I hope everyone will love what they are about to see’ – Blahnik.

The denim-driven collection features sequins and embroidery inspired by Rihanna’s hand tattoos. Besides, the limited-edition collection includes six styles, a selection of sandals, pumps and boots. This covers a lace-up denim bootie, a strappy sandal, a pointed-toe style with two ankle straps and an insane thigh-high boot. All four pairs come with a sketch of the shoe as well. Indeed, Rihanna made it charming with her unique taste and Blahnik’s expertise. As CEO of Manolo Blahnik, Kristina Blahnik said:
“For Manolo Blahnik, Rihanna was a collaboration we were really excited about. We firmly believed the two of them working hand-in-hand together with their creativity would achieve something totally unique and very special – we are really, really excited for the collection to launch.”

Though it was launched in Blahnik’s New York, London, and Hong Kong stores, you can also buy it at their official website. Looking ahead, the brand plans to open a shops-in-shop in London at Selfridges, and is focusing on expansion into Asia.
“In Japan alone, we are opening a shop this year in Matsuya and we are having a shops-in-shop as well at Hankyu in Osaka” – Blahnik.
