Actress Eva Gabor started her Eva Gabor International wig company in 1972. Rather than dabbling in lots of products, Eva wanted to focus on doing one thing exceptionally well and she did — her company became the world’s largest wig-maker.

The brand sells styles inspired by Gabor’s own personal looks and Eva often appeared on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) to promote her products. She also aimed for comfort in the designs. “I had done a lot of movies and plays with costumes and wigs, and they used to be ghastly,” Gabor told the the LA Times. “They used to weigh tons.”

Though Gabor died in 1995, the brand continues to release new styles every season through a partnership with HairUWear.
