Pete Wentz created the Clandestine Industries line of graphic t-shirts, hoodies, denim jeans, and other “emo-style” accessories. The Clandestine Industries bat/heart/skull logo, known as the “Bartskull,” is taken from a tattoo that Pete has on his stomach. This logo was featured on many of the brand’s designs.

Pete and his band Fall Out Boy advertised the brand to their fans by wearing the clothing at many of their concerts and appearances. Many of the artists on Pete’s record label and other friends in the punk/alternative rock scene showed their support for the brand by wearing Clandestine Industries tees and hoodies, helping to raise the profile and the credibility of the brand. Celeb fans of the brand of the brand include Cobra Starship’s Gabe Saporta, Hey Monday’s Cassadee Pope, My Chemical Romance’s Mikey Way, Gym Class Hereos’ Travie McCoy, and of course Pete’s ex-wife Ashlee Simpson.

Wentz teamed up with high-end retailer Nordstrom to sell his collection in the junior’s department of their stores for the 2008 back-to-school season. The brand also sold directly to fans in their own online webstore.

Clandestine Industries has been inactive since 2012.
